Overview

Sarah Dwyer (b. 1974, Cork, Ireland) has a Master’s in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London. Sarah has exhibited internationally in USA, Europe and Japan, also curating several exhibitions in the UK. She has works in private and public collections in Europe, the USA, Korea and China.

The practice exists across interdisciplinary forms between painting, object and drawing using a breadth of strategies. Punchy exuberant re-imaginations of her familial surroundings and bodily forms are excavated with a somewhat mischievous and subversive approach. Ongoing research considers personal and shared histories, drawing on myth, in order to grasp the real within the imaginary.
